In this video I built a chess board with a built in pair of drawers for storing the chess pieces in the chess board. This build was done with walnut and maple. This is an easy project to build on your own as a diy project. It is the perfect Christmas or birthday gift.

Pretty nice. A chess table should have the dark square a the lower left when you start playing.

Great job, but I do have one suggestion/criticism. I would suggest finishing the top of the plywood drawers with either edge banding or some veneer to cover the edges. It gives it a more polished/pofessional look. Other than that you did a wonderful job. Keep up the good work.
