Chevy 210 with turboglide - beautiful car with an exceptional transmission. I regret that the turboglide was available just for a couple of years and aluminium casting introduction related issues were not fully adressed. Continuous variable transmistion with 5 element torque converter makes it exeptional. It has not the best efficiency, but it provides smoothness unavailable for other transmissions.

'57 Chevys with the 265 were all 3-speed column shifts. Plus, the engines were painted chartreuse yellow and the bodies were all 4-door, like this one featured.

I believe the power glide was only two speed I guess the car wouldn't be happy much above 50 miles per hour? And it would probably only get about 8 miles a gallon
