I reviewed Razer’s Wolverine V2 Chroma controller only a little over a month ago, and while I’m in no way vain enough to believe Razer made all the changes I asked for in that video to this, the Wolverine V3 Pro, because of me, they sure did make all the changes I asked for! This controller is nearly perfect - so let me show you around it so you can see what’s new, we’ll even put the new 1000 hertz polling rate mode to the test with my Open Source Latency Testing Tool (the new CS model no less!) and you can see if this bad boy is worth the cash. Let’s get into it!

Razer has absolutely been watching reviews and making modifications based off of them for at least a year now. Great strategy imo.

I was a controller gamer for 20+ years and was frustrated by stick drift for most of that. So it's great to finally see controller players getting Hall Effect.

After multiple elite controllers, forget the rubber grips and go with textured plastic. The rubber grips always give out and peel eventually so I think they were smart not putting them on there

Been using the Raver V2 for about 11/2-2 years now, best controller i've ever owned, hands down. To see the V3 coming out, giving everyone's wants from over the past year or so, makes me shed a tear. Thats the new controller after mine gets stick drift. Wow, great vid!

YES the first thing i noticed is they moved the two menu buttons to where I can actually reach them comfortably. have NO IDEA how they thought putting those two buttons way up on the upper-sides was a good idea its like no one actually tested the controller. Oh wow they improved my favorite controller (v2 Chroma) in EVERY way it looks like. Wireless too!? yes i'm a wolverine simp but this thing looks great. Yes $200 is a lot but compare it to other $200 controllers. those are NOT hall effect usually, they are NOT wireless, and they often do not have these nicer buttons.

I bought the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma about a year and a half ago. I had a bit of a hard time getting used to the Large Controller size at first. Now I just received the V3 pro and it is a lot smaller and I can tell I am going to have a hard time getting used to the new size all over again. But it is an awesome controller.

GameSir G7 SE. Wired, $40, hall effect, 2 programmable bumpers + all buttons reprogrammable, and bumper locks. Used mine for 2-3 years before moving to PC after gaming on Xbox for 20 years. Its incredible, if you absolutely must have wireless I guess this is cool but try it out gents.

Thank you. I've been looking at loads of videos and yours convinced me to get this controller now. My scuff lasted me surprisingly 7 years but all the negative reviews got me to get this controller now!

OMG!!! This may be the one for me. I’ve been waiting for the Elite Series 3 but this wolverine seems to have everything I wanted from the the elite. I may have to “pull the trigger” on this one! Seems MUCH better than the Turtle Beach stealth!

This is the best controller ever made. But Im more interested in the wired version. Definitely a must buy.

honestly I think the flydigi Vader 4 pro is a better deal. It's only 80 bucks, has all the same features as this controller, and has adjustable tension on the joysticks which is nice. You can make them as light or as weighty as you want. Some people don't like the placement of the back buttons since 2 of them are slightly more centered like the ones on the razer v2 while the other 2 are on the grips but it's not that bad once you get used to it. I'd rather just extend my middle finger slightly to hit the other back button than have it right over top of the other one and risk accidentally pressing the wrong button. I think it's the best bang for the buck that you can find right now. The wireless dongle is also very snappy with good range. I was testing it out from all the way on the other side of my room and it responded to the button inputs instantaneously.

The paddles are what sold it for me. Ordered mine 30 second ago.

Okay so the “1000hz wired pc competitive mode” is that exclusive to PC? Or can you also get 1000hz on Xbox? The way you talk about it makes it sound like you can only take advantage of the 1000hz polling rate if you’re playing wired up to a PC

The 100 USD wired one miight be too much of a good deal to pass on....

The biggest reason for having the paddle buttons more towards the middle of a controller is to help minimize the amount of accidental pushes while playing a game.

Nearly perfect for me as well. The one thing it's missing is the ability to remap the back buttons to keyboard. Everything else about the controller is absolutely top shelf, high quality stuff. All I need is that additional bit of functionality and it'd be gamepad perfection.

I don't understand how the tournament one is so much more cheaper. Makes me feel like I am missing out on important features... But I'm not. Always play wired, don't care about a carrying case and rgb is irrelevant. Are those all the features?

I havent had a controller since the wolverine TE. Was furious when they took it away. With the movement of the paddles on the v3 makes the feel similar to the TE. My TE just broke since release. Im sold on this.

Does the 1000hz mode only work for pc? Or could I plug it into an Xbox and put it in 1000hz mode?
