I'd be shocked if China assisted North Korea in an invasion of South Korea, regardless of US help. South Korea has used it's time wisely and has massive troop numbers and great technology. It'd be a very difficult war at this point, even with Chinese assistance.

It would be an similar to the burning of the library of Alexandria. America has a ton of pharmaceutical, computational and militaristic technologies other countries can’t catch up to that they don’t like to share and will be lost for decades and maybe centuries. America also has a huge hold on the internets infrastructure although it can probably recover quickly.
