I recently sold my 5 series, and it only took me 24 hours before I found a buyer. BMW 5 series is worth every penny.

my dad has this car, it drives awsome!
Then again, everything drives awsome if you're own car is a 2003 fabia sedan...

530d is the pick of the 5 series range. All the mid range performance you could ever want

I bought 1 of these last November, 2015 model, it was the second car I’ve owned, first being a 3 series, 2014 model, the 5 series is truly brilliant to drive, the 8 skews gear box is great, it’s comfortable and great handling, I prefer this shape to the new shape

As dissapointing as the E90 was in terms of interior quality, I never cease to recognize you can´t fail with a 5 series. Had a 2001 E39 525i, damn fine car, maybe the best I had, that interior felt like a VIP lounge. Very nice current 5 series!

Stiff suspension is optional or standard for m models. You dont have to pay extra for the normal suspension, which doesn't worsen the ride.

I actually love this car so much. I'm glad they didn't fuck up the design. This car was the reason why I started liking BMW in the first place.

Correct. It's a BMW 520d M Sport!

every manufacturer today makes sure the doors close firmly, giving it a sense of quality. Tells little of build quality of the rest of the car.

i had the whole past week a rent 3 series BMW with this engine (a 320d) and its brilliant..it will go 250kmh (155mph), and returns as low as 3.8L/100km...not even motorcycles drink so little..

I noticed a lot of minor differences between this car and my 2013 535. For example, the navigation system was considered an option instead of standard. I have more wood trim but my leather seats look cheaper. I don't have the ability to write with my navigation. There is probably a lot of differences in what is offered on a country by country basis.

I’ve got a 530d m-sport. It’s a great car but the rear end is a bit bland & non descript. The interior is also showing its age now. But it still drives beautifully and it’s rapid. Despite being a diesel, it sounds sporty. Don’t know how they’ve managed that?!

even tho they are on the same category, after driving all of them i highly recommend u testing them out, the 5, the E and the A6 are veeery different cars..if i were to buy one of them today i would go for the 5...if i needed the extra comfort and space the E, and even tho i love Audis and have had Audis my whole life i dont really see why to buy the A6..its not as sporty as the 5, and not as roomy and comfortable as the E...still a great car tho...

I have a 520D m-sport, manual and to be honest I find no problem with it and I'm from Ireland and rear seat folding came as standard

What gets me is that they DO NOT cover a lot of very important points. Just say things like, it has parking sensors. Whats the point of saying that? How about go a bit in depth about how they work, and how they compare to the MB. Waste of time imo.

If you guys drove on the correct side of the road the touchpad would be a lot more useful for most people.

I have a 2011 520d with 160k km on board, so far the car is faultless. To avoid the chain problems i will replace the distribution when i hit 200k other then that this car is perfect!

I just got the same one today except a 528 x drive. It's nice fr. I upgraded from a 07 323i. I will miss it though

A very valid point, in that cars ARE packaged on computer before being built but it'll be the size of that transmission box, probably that big because it has to react much higher engine torque that, say a Morris Marina.
