Wow, sure glad I watched this. Looks like an action packed weekend for Galveston county. Praying this is not a Harvey type rain event. Thank you for posting. Thank you for mentioning us in the UK. We often get the remains of hurricanes and although not as intense as in the US, they can still cause us a lot of disruption. It's helpful to know what may or may not be coming our way.

This is very similar to the Harvey situation a few years ago. It was originally forecast to be, at worst, a TS, then only a cat one, and then it stayed in the gulf, and I left town Thursday before it hit, and boy am I glad I did. The roads were bare as few thought anything would happen in Houston.
