Every time Ethan Hawke is on, I just know I'm going to learn something about life. I was not disappointed.

Man I love Ethan Hawke. I haven't even seen a lot of his work. But I love his attitude towards life and his art, and the way he carries himself in interviews such as this. Beautiful man.

I have always been admirable of Hawke's sincerity toward the arts whenever I see him interviewed. The dude has such a interesting point of view about his passions and is so communicative.

Perfect analogy, the love of an Amatur and the discipline of a professional, great way to state the fine art about acting.

My favorite movie to this day is Before Sunrise. Saw it for the first time in 1998. Can’t believe how long it has been and how old we are now.

Ethan Hawke is one of my faves. Loved his contributions to Linklater's films (also one of my favorites). A man of the arts indeed. Great interview.

What an insightful "professional", but most of all human being. I tried to look up the beautiful proverb he quoted: "To master a craft you have to apprentice three". Anyone knows where it originates from? (not Hemingway BTW) I was deeply moved by both the scene he painted and what it meant to him growing up. He truly is inspiring, and I say that in the most literal sense possible!

I actually met Ethan Hawke many times via church before he even started acting. I still remember him telling us all about some little film he was going to do with some kid named River about kids who build a spaceship in a junkyard. He really was a chill kid then, just as much as he is a chill guy now. I'd love to reconnect with him over lunch and just shoot the breeze.

Love listening to Ethan Hawke. One of the most articulate, intelligent, inspiring and thought provoking human beings around. He exudes positivity and listening to his conversation it is apparent that he thinks about what he says, believes and does as part of his everyday DNA. Stellar actor as a result of his intelligence and knowing himself so well which he brings to any role and all round good guy.

I grew up in Northern Canada... y'all don't know what snow is. We didn't do 'snow days'... If you lived in town, you walked to the nearest main road (that was plowed several times DURING the blizzard) where the busses could pick you up, and you went to school. There was the occasional ice storm, that we'd get the day off for... but it turned the whole world into an ice rink, and there was no playing outside unless you count chipping ice off the driveway with Dad screaming at you to 'watch the asphalt', while wearing spikes on your boots as 'playing'.

There is something special that I always get when Ethan Hawke is interviewed on the show. I can’t describe it sufficiently, but I know it’s something good. I heard about the novel when the cover was revealed months ago and I definitely plan to read it. Art in all forms from an artist is always welcome. 💫
