Digital marketer Mitchel Rainbow, 21, flew from Auckland, New Zealand, on May 7, to surprise his friend Jacob all the way in Adelaide, Australia.
Mitchel had been working in Auckland when the pandemic hit and the country’s borders were completely shut.
When travel was finally allowed, he flew four and a half hours and waited in Jacob’s room for him to return.
