A good 9-bell antique cylinder music box, made by Bremond c. 1885. The fully overhauled musical movement plays 12 popular and operatic airs, including La Traviata, Faust, and Il Trovatore, with the bells struck by charming swallow strikers. The sound is good and pleasant, and the rosewood case is beautiful, having colourful inlays and boxwood stringing to both the front and lid. Added to this is an original, hand-written tunesheet. A lovely music box.
