I own Netflix but I still buy movies. Don't go extreme and say this is the future of games. People also buy digital copies of films

They need to add better games on there first.

I still rather buy the game but that's just me, this is good for people who aren't as fortunate and are on a budget or just want a lot of games to play but don't ever play them again after finishing them

I think this is what they were trying to do from the start. The reason they didn’t wanna allow used games and sharing discs, but we went crazy and crying and they had to wait.. now here we are.

Scary for single player games OR taking the risk out of developing a single player game and releasing it on XBP which will ensure the dev a steady stream of revenue?

Honestly, I like where it is going, but I would like to see it include all games, even the new ones that come out on day one. I wouldn't mind the price increase if they did that, just as long as it is reasonable.

I believe that the best part of it is getting the full game experience with out investing heavily up front. Sea of thieves is a great example bc I'm not sure how much the game retains playability over time due to what I've read as not really having loot to chase outside of cosmetic options and a reputation thing neither of which seems like a viable option for hardcore gamers to keep coming back for more.

I wouldn’t mind the game pass IF I could download the games within a second. But since 1 game would take me 3 days to download before I could even play it?
Not worth it lol

This would certainly affect game collectors dramatically. If digital only is the future in gaming, I don’t know if I want to be a part of it.

Maybe maybe not. If some day there was a service with a HUGE library I would definitely go that way as so many others will because it would be way cheaper.

This finally made me grab an Xbox One. This is the kind of service I am interested in for games, native on my console. Hope this does well and forces Sony to add native support for PS Now as well.

Great move Phil and company. Now, give me some VR on XOX.

Dont get too excited, Xbox has 3 "exclusive" games prepared for the whole 2018.

Naw. It's based on preference . Some people like digital & others like physical. I don't mind both.

I have a feeling that Microsoft will finally be announcing some first party exclusives this year at E3. I mean, after the release of Xbox One X and the announcement that all new Xbox exclusives will be heading to Game Pass on launch day, this seems to be a great indicator that they're finally going to invest on some AAA exclusives.

Question is are we still going to have to buy dlc and then are we keeping the dlc so we would still have to buy the full game after the membership runs out.
