Sene 2003... O zaman Seltay, Eray ve ben (Murat) Deus Ex Machina adını verdiğimiz cover grubumuzla çeşitli mekanlarda çalıyoruz. Zaman koşulları belli, internet erişimi kısıtlı, düzenli olarak yeni şarkıları takip etme şansımız yok, gece MTV'ye dönüşen TRT'den müzik takip etmeye çalışıyoruz, ya da Türkiye'de ünlü grupların albümlerini alarak çalacak şarkı arıyoruz.

O sene Evanescence Bring Me To Life'ı yayınlıyor. Ve tabiki şarkı patlıyor ve çalma listesine konuk vokaller aracılığıyla giriyor. Fakat benim aklımda bir deli soru. Aradaki rap vokalleri yapan adam kim? Kısıtlı internet içerisinde yaptığım araştırma ile öğreniyorum ki vokalistin adı Paul McCoy ve grubunun adı 12 Stones. Sonrasında grubun albümleri içerisinden Broken şarkısını buluyorum ve neredeyse kimsenin bilmediği bu şarkıyı çalmaya başlıyoruz. Çok geçmiyor 2 hafta sonra çaldığımız mekan şarkıyı kendi playlistinde çalmaya başlıyor, insanlar şarkıyı ister oluyorlar.

Antalya'da bir miktar 12 Stones fanı olması bu sebepten işte :)

It was the year 2003... Back then, Seltay, Eray and myself (Murat) are playing in various places with our cover band called Deus Ex Machina. It was hard to find some new bands to play and listen because there was a lack of widespread internet access and Antalya at that time lacked the music stores with extensive music selection. We were trying to keep track of new music on TRT which becomes MTV at night, or just played songs from hugely famous bands.

That year Evanescence released "Bring Me To Life". And of course, the song became a hit and entered our playlist with guest vocals. But one question in my mind drove me crazy. Who is the guy singing the rap vocals? With some time spent in a net cafe (remember those?) I've learnt that the vocalist's name is Paul McCoy and his band is called "12 Stones". Then I found "Broken" from the band's albums "12 Stones" and we've started playing the song which at the time almost nobody knew in our hometown. But it won't be long until the place we played our gigs started to play the song on their own playlist, and people started to request it from us.

That's why there are some 12 Stones fans in Antalya :)
