Reminds me of this girl who was my best friend. We were in high school and we used to sit in the last bench, sharing lunches and laughing at everything during class. I'd defend her always and would do anything for her. Later that year, she started talking to a guy and tried to distance herself from me slowly. It was so hard to let go cuz I couldn't see anything beyond our friendship. One day they stopped talking or something and she came back to me. As much as I'd have liked a fresh start with her, something made me take a step back. I backed off and didn't go all in for having back the same kind of friendship. I realized that was literally one of the best things to happen to me because in terms of personal growth. I think of that whenever I've to face a change. When some people leave you, they leave with an impact on you. It doesn't necessarily make you miss them or anything but it'll definitely teach you ways to move on to better things. :)
