iLive Portable Music Video System IBPD882B

I have an original iLive IBPD882B CD/DVD player with 7-Inch TFT Display and FM Radio. It cost me under $50 when I bought it. It does not have the iPhone accessory because I don't think the iPhone existed then. The remote control stopped working after I'd put the unit in a storage facility and forgot to remove the batteries. The player still works beautifully, but I'm old and lazy and want the convenience of the remote control. I cannot find the remote anywhere online. Any suggestions?

It has Component Video Out but no Audio Out? So you hook it up to your Big Home Theater TV system but then can either not hear the audio or be stuck listening to it through the smaller Boom Box Stereo Speakers as apposed to the larger Surround Sound Speakers of your home theater system? That silly.

I have one of theses but the lid is broken so it wont play movies because it says open, what can I do to fix it?

It would be nice to see the same in the market on Android version with wifi connectivity or simply Portable Smart digital TV with DVD, CD, MP3 player, USB OTG with record functionality, TFT memory card slot, bluetooth, auxiliary in, HDMI and RCA in/out, AM/FM, 3.5mm headphone slot, rechargeable/removabable battery and other latest technology functionalities.

So it has inputs. So I can hook up my PS3 and play games off the screen? Great for travel.

Does this only run on batteries, or can it be plugged in (i.e. wall or usb)?
Does it have a headphone jack to listen in silence?

You forgot to give a more accurate description of the audio. No bass or treble settings and overall it sounds fair. Does quite a bit, but, they should have at least put preset eq for cd.

Or at Wally World for 98 bucks and no waiting to get it in the mail and easy returns if you don't like it or need to exchange it if it is defective when you buy it.

It went back to the store. I've come to find that a lot of reviews on "iLive" brand electronics are not in any way good. Try running yours on batteries. Your review is simply a list of the features, but not how well the product actually performs. The first day I used mine it had the symptoms I described. I didn't even make it through two DVD movies before the sound went out. I'm sure it was defective, but why would I even try to "contact iLive" when they should have quality control?

You should contact iLive, This sounds like it may be a defective unit as I haven't had any of these problems. Unfortunately when I review them I don't spend prolonged time with tem, just enough to get a thorough review of the unit, some of these things you experienced might happen over a longer time period, but it still sounds defective, I'd contact them.

if you look at the specs, the battery life is little more than 3 hours. i would highly recommend not running on batteries, too expensive!

Well, first you push the time portal button, go back to 1989 and then you can put in the cassette ;-)
