Whoa!! That's the charasmatic Ernie Brown singing lead! Bill Kenny, Ernie Brown, Guitarist Everett Barksdale and Bass singer Adriel McDonald (who used to be the groups valet!) These recent Ink Spots uploads are blowing my mind!

I hope we will be seeing an Ink Spots video every Sunday; this is great! This is from the episode "A Night at Sophie Tucker's House", and that's Sophie talking at the start of the video. We have also seen many videos of Sophie from this show. I hope you will also post the Ink Spots singing their famous song "If I Didn't Care" on this episode! "Java Jive" was a Top 20 hit for the Ink Spots in 1941. Written by Ben Oakland & Milton Drake.

Even in 1952 Ed Sullivan promoted black entertainers and continued the practice until the Ed Sullivan Show ended.

Boy this brings back memories of my Dad. He used to sing this gem now and then. Now I know where he got it from. 😊 I still haven't seen Redd Foxx. He used to say he was with The Ink Spots and then go into his singing one of their songs getting lots of clean fun laughs.
