BAIRD'S BEAKED WHALE!!!

A pod of Baird's Beaked Whales observed while on a pelagic birding trip with Alvaro's Adventures on the 11th of September, 2022. We left out of Monterey Harbor but this was in Santa Cruz County waters as I recall. One of the coolest things I've ever seen! Everyone else on the boat was just as excited, as you might be able to guess from all the shutter sounds in the video!
It's not visible here, but one individual had a circular mark bitten out of its dorsal fin, likely from a cookiecutter shark.
