Amazing how "no surprise that Range Rover" at the bottom of the reliability study. Especially as they have been there for many many years! What really does surprise me is people still fall over themselves to buy one!! Why??

Jim
Very interesting as ever. We have a 9 year old Toyota Yaris hybrid and last summer air-con stopped working. Cost of repairs £1300 but all work carried out free under Toyota 10 year warranty. What brilliant service.
Just imagine a JLR product with a 10 year warranty 😂, they would not be trading for long!

Nice one Jim, your timing is immaculate.
No surprises in the list mind👍

Good video. I think it's amazing how such unreliable vehicles still hold a 'premium' caché. Dealers now make visiting for warranty work an 'experience' with activities and 'customer lounges'. Honestly I'd rather see less, not more of a garage.

Hi Jim. In the 2 years of driving a 22 Toyota Yarris Cross dynamic, I’ve had a cabin filter cover fall off & the CarPlay system going off, which Toyota can’t fix 🤷‍♂️ apart from that, I’m still enjoying this car & 2 years left on the lease. It’s also just had a 20k Mike service, which was the 1st major, at a cost of £326, oh & you get a free wash & vac too 😄 just to make anyone aware of the service cost, small service at 10k was £225. Keep up the good work 🤙🏻😊

I have one of the Evoque PHEVs. Yes it has been back to the dealer for an electrical fault, which like many of those that have broken down, was for a failed high voltage coolant heater. Aside from that in 30 months of ownership it’s been perfect and it’s a lovely thing, fast too.. The repair process was relatively painless with me being handed the keys to another Evoque for the duration of the repair. The failed coolant heater was I believe a German component. A single failure isn’t enough to put me off the car as the pluses massively outweigh that one issue.

Lexus warranty is 10 years or 100k miles if you main dealer service it. £340 for interim and £660 for the biggie. I’ve spent £600 on warranty alone for my rs3, so makes Lexus a good buy imo. Taking delivery of a RX450h next week.

Hi Jim more great content to help us all save £££s on which cars to avoid and all those NOT subscribed will

No surprise there then but I’d ask what is going wrong with these nearly new cars ( e.g. the Golf) that are presumably still under warranty yet the owners are having to shell out £1500?

I have had Range Rovers as far back as 2010 and they suffered from electrical gremlins back then. I see nothing has changed. 😮 God help anyone buying a full electric JLR vehicle.

A friends uncle had a Rolls Royce that broke down. RR told him RRs do not not break down but they can FAIL TO PROCEED.

Evoque - status symbol/pose factor…well deserved at that bottom spot in my opinion

Been driving Toyota hybrids since 2013 and the only issue I’ve had in that time is a flat battery on a CHR which, was due to it being left on my drive for 5 weeks when I was abroad. In 40 years of driving they are by a country mile the best cars I’ve ever had easily beating the BMW’s, Audi’s and Volvo’s I’ve owned for reliability, won’t even consider another brand now!

Just shows too many people buy cars with thier eyes rather than thier heads!

Not surprised the Range Rover is top of the bad boy list but the Golf and Merc!

Went from BMW to honda 8 years ago . Next may well be Korean . Even leased it would still be a pain to take time out in the dealership

The list seemed to be all over the place. RAV 4 was at 98.7% but was lower down the list than the CRV at 97.5%. True for several others. So, saying this was number 7, 8 or 9 was incorrect.

Something wrong with the maths here on the RAV4. Why is it lower down than several cars above despite having a higher reliability score.

The most unreliable also tend to have the shortest new car warranty !! Dump and scarper! We currently own a 2016 Yaris hybrid and 2021 Niro. No reliability issues and great warranties
