When it comes to vlogging tripods, there hasn’t been a ton of innovation in the market to-date… It’s surprising, given the popularity of vlogging and the fact that the requirements of a tripod you’re using to carry around a camera & film yourself are simply NOT the same as those for which most traditional tripods are built!

I just purchased a digiant pole with a tripod feature at the bottom, making it extremely easy to carry around with me, it is also heavy enough to stay put when left alone, and it is able to tilt to get a better shot, and has a leveler to make sure level, and most importantly, it is very smooth in panning left or right.

My tripod for vlogging is a Joby Gorillapod. Rarely do I use the bending capabilities but rather just for minor height and angle adjustments. I personally cannot wait to get my hands on my SwitchPod when they ship! I've only seen a couple of "minor" drawbacks, each I can deal with or work around very easily! 🌟😊👍🌟

The actual question is if it's that much better than a *regular* _mini_ tripod, it technically has *nothing* to do with a Gorrilapod, they've just done a great job _sneaking_ into the vlogging market.
Because you can get several different sized tripods with a ball head, for less than the cost of the switchpod - but great product otherwise, I've been following all along.

This is an interesting tripod but I think the Manfroto Mini Pixie for $18 is a pretty good deal and does much of what this does and comes with a one button adjustable ball head. The upside of this tripod is the one-handed usability, the ogee curve to move the camera further away from your face and what looks to be a greater weight capacity.

How about adjusting the point of the camera. This seems to be a one place to shoot. If you sit it on the ground and your needing it to shoot up a little or down this can’t move right?

What about the new griptight pro telepod from Joby? I think it is better then anything out there. Pls review and let us know
