In ancient times, barrenness was considered a disgrace, and Elizabeth was barren, but she had great faith in God and she was righteous before Him. Thus, She had a baby that was John the Baptist.

My favourite woman has no name, no story, no husband, no money and takes up just three verses in Mark and in Luke. She would probably have gone unnoticed but Jesus notices her, of course He does. Her offering makes me weep; she puts everything she has in her faith, not out of abundance.
