Episode 1. The new Jordanville Prayer Book and Psalms

Today we take a brief look at the Pocket Prayer Book and Psalms from Holy Trinity Publications.

Best little prayer book ever. It would be even better in hardback but the paperback seems to be fairly durable. The type is small but very clear. I take it everywhere every day. Love it!

As I get used to using this, I just can’t go back to the original Jordanville Prayer Book - even though I have the new one with the improvements made to the binding. This little guy is so handy and I really like the translation of the psalms. I have the Psalter for prayer also (both the hardback and little leatherette version) but now with the prayer book and psalm together, I pretty much use this exclusively. For ten bucks, it is the best value out there.

Awesome stuff, Raph. Good content, performance, footage, and nice runtime for a review. Nobody wants to watch a thirty minute video where you can barely hear them or see the subject matter, and the most they say is 'Uhhhh... So.... I really like... This...'

Thank you for the wonderful review! Is the prayer portion exactly the same as the text of the Jordanville prayer book? Did they add any occasional prayers (e.g. prayers for the sick, prayers for travel, etc.)?

Why does Jordanville prayer books not include occasional prayers? I have the bigger one and just ordered this one, it’s my fav prayer book so far but have to keep the little red Antiocian prayer book for occasional prayers

Are the Psalms interspersed throughout morning, evening prayers, prayers before Holy Communion, etc the original Jordanville Psalms, or have they been replaced by the Coverdale Psalms contained in the second half of the book?

Interesting to note that the eastern orthodox has do many different editions of prayer books whereas the oriental orthodox churches like the coptic has the same Agpeya editions with not much alterations. Why so many editions? You should get yourself a copy of the Agpeya just for interest sake🤞

After Psalms 10 all Psalms are out of Sync... Psalm 26 should be Pslam 27...
