Tennis Serve - UTR 8 vs UTR 12

Spot the difference!

Biggest difference is the leg bend, 8 has good snap and wrist pronation but 12 gets a lot more easy power and a deeper knee bend allowing more acceleration and “explosive” power into the serve.

UTR 12 has a fully extended tossing arm and holds it longer, much higher and more forward toss, fuller extension into contact. Cool video, too bad opposite handed players makes it a little harder to compare.

The 12 was at the net by the time the return came back. And the 8 hit it past the baseline 🤣🤣. Just kidding. Both looked very solid!

You can’t say good or bad without looking at the results. Form is okay, but should see if it’s in or not

2nd serve leans harder into the court and likely hits with more power with the extra body mass moving behind the ball
