Has anyone a photo of what they’ve done at the connection between rod and black plastic hopper? I don’t have full range of open/close whatever way I’ve done the nuts and have gone to end of range in mid rods connection

I can’t get mine starting. Even though I left in charge all night. The light is green when plugged. Is brand new, any idea what could be wrong? Cordless hand shear. Bought it in garden centre.
