Couldn't handle the steadiness of my phone because of the high speeds. Man that's an insane drive by!

Man, imagine doing laps like that FOR HOURS at a pack. I'm an F1 fan but I do have TOP RESPECT for NASCAR drivers, they also do extraordinary stuff!

Back when NASCAR allowed the cars to race at full horsepower

At 200 miles per hour, they are covering a football field per second, split that hair. Bumper to bumper traffic on the interstate going 80 mph is white knuckle driving for us non Nascar drivers, now add 120 mph to that and you get what the dude was trying to get you to process through the video clip. I will say it for you, wow!

I couldn’t imagine being right at the fence on the backstretch of Michigan...

After seeing that, it gives us perspective on how fast Bobby Allison was going when he ripped the fences apart at Talladega Superspeedway, this intern brought us the restrictor plates. That must have been a really scary moment for the crowd and Bobby.

That was the Michigan track, I was an usher there standing at the start/finish line when Jeff Gordon hit 213mph new track record what a rush. I was only 5 ft. From the fence, incredible speed. You can't tell how fast they are going by sitting in front of the TV, try it, you'll love it

Got a bunch of fake fans commenting here apparently. Pretty sure this is Michigan. A few years ago with the low downforce package the faster cars were hitting 215-218 entering turn 1. the overall lap speed was in the 180's/190's iirc because of the lower corner speeds.

One thing is hitting 0-200 in 6 seconds, another is taking corners at 120mph but it’s insane holding 200mph for hours... the nerves are insane..

Lost the majority of my hearing in my left ear doing this. It hurt. Yes alcohol was involved.

Camera was shaking long before the cars got anywhere near it.

they are about to start the race. The green flag flies and they are off. A few seconds later you here what sounds like bees on the backstretch. Then as they come out of turn 4, you feel rumbling. And as soon as you know it, they're already passing by for lap 2

Have stood there several times at MIS. It really gets your attention!

I can tell you for a fact nothing mesmerizes your more than a massive pack of cars flying by you at over 200mph. We went to Daytona until 2012, before the stands were completely rebuilt and you could openly still walk next to the catch-fence. I’ve never felt the power of the draft so much in my life. If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing a (formerly called plate) race, please do yourself a treat and head to one if you can. The pack was shaking my clothes and ripped hats off of every man’s head. I had to run for my hat.

I stood at the same approximate point in the late 90s watching CART practice. You only saw the tops of their helmets close to the wall going by at ungodly speeds. It was a little scary.

My bucket list is Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte, and Indy. I made it to Charlotte several years ago and now I want to go again.

One of my old favorites was Riverside Raceway in SoCal. Also the old California Speedway near Norco, Ca. Both are long gone.
