Dutch MvdP fan here. Sad to see Wout not being in his best shape (yet). How it went today with Wout, can't remember he finished so far behind MvdP in what is not the most difficult race. Sure in Glasgow that was bad, but still this feels different. He had a not so good start of the season 4 weeks ago and now 2, 50 s behind he gets well fast, anyone wh loves the sport and actually knows Wout a little hopes he will be where he needs to be very soon.

I was a bit disappointed about him missing the move yesterday. But this interview kind of explains things a little. Goal was to get the benefit of altitude. I suspect his form will come by the time he is in the start at De Ronde.
