Yes I've been waiting for this video forever! I'm definitely getting a vanda and also possibly a seedling this summer. My nursery here sells vandas in pot so they are already established. This video is very informational and encouraging. Hope yours will bloom soon.

Hi Bill, I posted a pic of my three Rhynchostylis gigantea that bloomed this year on your Facebook page. Yours look big enough to bloom so good luck.

Bill have you given the vandas some bloom booster fertilizer, that might help bloom

I'd say that they are extremely healthy plants. That one looks extremely pot bound and could use a video of the repotting.

I think it will flower next year, and will be spectacular. It is very healthy.

I love your Vanda Orchid. I hope it flowers for you this year. Thanks for sharing.

If this is really Sansai Blue it actually likes cooler temp. Its parent - Vanda coerulea, is found at northwestern Thailand where it gets down to 2°C around X'mas.

And I believe your Rhynchostylis is gigantea? Not the foxtail. The foxtail orchid is Rhynchostylis retusa.

Your gigantea is of blooming size already. Should spike this year end. This one needs cool temp to spike.

I read that cold exposure can set back the blooming for years but hopefully it's not the case here

Sansai blue has coerulea genes in it so it's a bit hardy. My vendor told me not to drop the temp below 45F

I'm jealous of your rhyncostylis. Is it from Terra? I saw one there with salmon pink flowers.
I have a vanda that's doing well in a south-western window. It's hard to find enough light for it in ontario, but it's bloomed twice for me. I just got a neostylis from Orchids in Our Tropics this month, it's a cross between a neofenitia and a rhyncostylis.

These two vandas have very beautiful foliage. I would be content to just look at the leaves. Cough cough

hi bill. I'm new to your channel and I am really enjoying your videos. you are very funny and informative as well. I want to ask you a question. when you say you are a lazy waterer and fertilizer person, do you think it is because you have so many indoor and outdoor plants to take care of that it gets tedious for you? I am just starting out my orchid collection and still in the stage of looking at my 2 plants everyday. lol just curious bill.

Such glorious plants, I can't wait to see them when they bloom! I've been watching a lot of your videos as I am interested in a few different plants. I have 4 phals, a mini phal, and one I took in for recovery from work. Also was drooling over your Amaryllis videos, and decided to give them a try next year. When I was growing up my Grandpa used to be able to have them bloom every year with a lot of success. We also planted some tomatoes, hot pepoer, basil, cilantro, and petunias for the season, and still have to plant the potted various melons and zucchini. We have strawberries from last year as well.
I love it when you say come on closer and let's blah blah blah :)))) I'm always looking forward to your newest videos!

Hi Bill, this is a really dumb question. How do you check when your vanda is completely dry and how often do you want it? I just got a vanda yesterday and it's potted in a clay pot so i can't see the wall of the pot. Thank you!

Hi Bill, is your rhychostylis blooming size or will it get wider and taller?
