Glendale police say burglary suspects use Wi-Fi jammers to disrupt security cameras

Police in Glendale are warning residents that burglars have recently been using Wi-Fi jammers to disrupt home security feeds.

Authorities said suspects have been using Wi-Fi blockers to disrupt the signals between security cameras and video feeds, affecting systems such as Ring Cameras. The blockers can prevent residents from being notified when someone approaches or enters their home.

ALL cameras need to be on wired ethernet.. All devices need to be on Wifi 5 or 6.. Follow these rules and you will be fine.

Don't need a jammer. Any laptop will do. Just flood the wifi domain with jumbo-grams or runts or both. So what if in middle of the house, just have a powerful wifi nic. Bout time these came around. I still prefer wired Ethernet.

This "expert" is full of crap. The wifi attacks are not signal based, so moving the modem wouldn't do a thing. They exploit a protocol, and the only fix is newer devices with the newer protocol.
