I was surprised to find out that the intro song for this show wasn't made by the developers of the show. The intro song is called Phat Planet and it was recorded by Leftfield in 1999. The song is taken from their album Rhythm and Stealth. What is a coincidence here is that the album and the show was released during the same year and month: September, 1999, but the show was released the 18th September while Leftfield's album released two days after the show had premiered.

Ok I'm going to try and explain this show to beast wars fans who stumbled on this.
basically megatron used the blue screen of death to shave the transmetal off of the maximals with rhinox and silverbolt who weren't transmetal losing their sparks which he places with the sparks of everyone else on cybertron. optimus, cheetor, ratrap and black arachnia survive but are left stuck in their original beast modes from the beginning of the series and left in beast mode as they slowly lose their power but run into the triforce of peeta and are mutilated and reformed into born again techno organic entities who must meditate and say I am transformed in order to digivolve into humanoid forms to fight megatrons army of electric toothbrush, commodore 64 and hoverspoon drones each led by a one of their kind given a spark by megatron. They soon find a bat who they turn into a teenage hearthrob, sacrifice the leader of the hoverspoon drones to make a waifu wolf for Black arachnia but she gets a ninja condor **** and meet a russian dandelion that they torture into becoming a sentiant russian waifu for the wheelchair rat using a kamehameha and fighting a giant head.

This was no doubt a good show. It's was an even more hopeless fight compared to any transformers series they we're so outnumbered they had to resort to guerrilla warfare.

Never hated beast machines, not my favorite but I found it's direction to be interesting and refreshing personally. Especially when it comes to pushing philosophical themes.

I COULD CRY RIGHT NOW!!! This was an incredible show and the trailers for upcoming episodes were killer! I remember seeing clips of how they discovered that Rhinox was turned against that was dark!

this show felt like End of Evangelion to me when I was a kid. Depressing, I felt Optimus was outnumbered, outclassed by megatron.

You could view the series as one possible future for Cybertron out of many. Still, the finale was pretty epic.

i remember mentally preparing for this show to debut as a kid. beast wars was one of my favorite shows and the new futuristic character designs were too much for me to handle lol

Even though I'm not a fan of Beast Machines, there is no denying theme song for this show is freaking awesome. Seriously I can listen to this theme when I'm jogging or working out at the gym.

Fun fact: Ian James Corlett voiced Goku in the Ocean Dub version of DBZ, Bob from Reboot, Cheetor from Transformers Beast Wars and this iteration of Cheetor and Mega Man TAS
