Pablo Cruise is a pop rock band from San Francisco. Dave Jenkins (Vocals, Guitar), Cory Lerios (Keyboards), Bud Cockrell (Bass) and Stephen Price (Drums). Bruce Day replaced Cockrell in 1977. John Pierce replaced Day and Angelo Rossi (Guitar) joined in 1980. Many fans assumed that Pablo Cruise was the name of one of the members of the band. When asked the question, the band, which is a quartet, would answer, "He's the guy in the middle." When asked what Pablo Cruise meant, the band would say that "Pablo represents an honest, real, down- to-earth individual; and Cruise depicts his fun-loving and easygoing attitude towards life."

Pablo Cruise has another song that I remember called ‘Love Will Find a Way’
You may want to hear that one too.✌🏻

One of their best songs, this is from the 1977 album A Place in the Sun.

Thank you Harri! Awesome reaction as always. Pablo Cruise is a band out of the San Francisco area and were really underrated. I will include more Pablo Cruise requests going forward. They have many great songs. I was fortunate enough to see them during the Worlds Away tour in 1978. So smooth.

LOVE Bud Cockrell’s bass lines throughout this song. I recently covered the bass with a cover band and realized just how good Bud was!

There were two lead singers on this song, David Jenkins, who also was the guitarist, and the bass player, Bud Cockrell who was the higher voiced singer. Bud produced my first recording and he told me that there was a guy that they knew who was named Pablo Cruz who sort of represented the kind of relaxed lifestyle, as if you were on a cruise, so they turned Cruz into Cruise and that's how they got the name. So there really was Pablo but he wasn't in the band.

The first concert I ever went to was Little River Band, Pablo Cruise, and The Doobie Brothers at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in the early '70's. I was 12 or 13 at the time. Yeah, the '70's had some really great bands.

Used to see these guys a lot around here in the Bay Area. They did quite a few Outdoor Concerts at San José State. The Leader of the Group is Cory Leiros if you watch the Credits at the end of “ Baywatch” you’ll see Music Director is Cory. Pablo Cruise is the Band Name….SanJoséBob

Every song from the 70's make me so happy when I hear them. Many, like this one, remind me of roller skating at the rink with disco lights in motion! 😉😁

I saw these guys when they opened for another artist (Maybe Bonnie Raitt). They were great and this song was included. 🌺✌️

One of my favorite groups, Harri! They do have a certain “vibe”. Check out a song called “Tell Me That You Love Me” on their Part of the Game album.

They actually released a new song last year called “Breathe” that’s really good, and timely!

Wow!! I thought I was in the minority of those who remembered, let alone have Pablo Cruise music. Great pick Harri!
