It’s a good platform to start with for sure. The possibilities are endless. Ej swap fa24 swap Honda j3$ swap, Cummins swap the adaptor plates and custom wiring make it to where you can do anythjng. Now just buy a car that you enjoy, from there put the fast motor in and enjoy the journey. I never start with a nice fast car. What’s the fun in that. I started with a Subaru awd rx turbo from 1985 with 134 stock hp. 06 sti swap and now makes 400hp and 400wheel torque on a 20g with ethanol. Daily driven. Fun is the point. I’d love a drift brz

I’m not a hater, I had a turbo 17 brz 310whp and it was still slow, super fun but you not pushing under 5 sec 0-60, I see the second gen are way better holding power 500-600hp range 😅

I own a 2014 frs and boxers engine are kinda bad to me

I love the look and handling of the BRZ and GR86 but I cannot fathom why they put such weak engines in them. In Australia you're paying $50, 000 for a GR86 or Impreza that make 220 - 270 hp. Then going through the cost and process of putting a turbo on a BRZ or GR86 only to make maybe 300hp is insane.

Gone are the days of buying a $10, 000 turbo barra and then making 700+hp with basic mods.
I just really can't get over how expensive sports cars are these days for absolutely no power.

I owned multiple Hondas civics /s2000. And an evo9. I can tell from first hand. Subarus are a lot slower out of mid range sports cars. I own a subaru currently
