I believe most leagues default position setup is 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 FLEX. I know TE can be used in the Flex but its extremely rare for someone to do that every week. Looking at the median differences between #1 -#10 or #12th at each position, TE is definitely not the position that drops off the most. In fact the point difference between the highest rank and the 10th or 12th ranked is the lowest difference. If TE accounts for 15% of your weekly scoring, where WR or RB will account for 43% then reaching for a position that drops off the LEAST amount and counts for the least amount of your weekly points is not the best strategy.
