After months of waiting, Sac senior retirement community gets COVID-19 vaccine

Thursday marked a big day for residents at Carefree Senior Living in Sacramento. After months of waiting for the COVID-19 vaccine, at least a hundred seniors finally got their first dose. "I'm elated," said Aileen Enriquez, Community Manager. "Their spirits have been lifted because they feel there is hope." In February, Carefree Senior Living executives contacted KCRA 3 over concerns that their 600 residents in North Natomas were having difficulty getting access to the vaccine.
