The birth of Buddha took place in Himalayas. Father of Siddhartha was King suddhodana, the king of the Shakya tribe. Queen Mahamaya was Siddhartha's mother.

Queen Mahamaya's dream was vivid, with spirits taking her to a lake in Himalayas and bathing her. Then a white elephant with a white lotus in its trunk encircled her three times. When the King Suddhodana summoned wise men to interpret the dream, they said Queen Mahamaya will be the mother of a noble prince.

10 months later, while she was on her way home to Koliya tribe, in a park called Lumbini Park (Lumbini Sal Uyana), She gave birth to Price Siddhartha (later, Lord Buddha)

The legends say, The prince Siddhartha immediately walked seven steps and and at the end of each step, a lotus was bloomed. He then announced that this was his last birth.

Is this true? did lord Buddha really walk seven steps after the birth? Well, on 25th of March 2017, A Facebook video went viral where a newborn was seen walking right after the birth. But there's scientific explanation for that. That is a primitive reflex called walking reflex of the newborn which disappears after six weeks. It takes around 10 months for a child to walk.

Did lord Buddha really speak after birth? Again this is unlikely because it takes around 8 months for a child to utter words in his/her development.

We analysed Scientifically, the birth of Buddha and the first seven steps. This is the first episode of the series History of Buddhism by The Secular Buddhist

Buddha wasn't a son of any prince, but rather the son of a rich farmer named Suddhodhana means the one who have dhan of rice. It's a misconception based on his initial birth. Even he is not related to vishnu or Hinduism, Hinduism wasn't flourished as a religion at that time neither Buddhism, neither Jainism. It was just teacher and student culture.
