This video explains the terms used in the Handwriting Heroes method to describe the writing lines. We discuss the top line, dotted-middle, and baseline as the skyline, clouds, and grass, which serves as the “back-drop” to all the letter stories. Using this logical structure helps students to correctly place their letters on the writing line.

The video also highlights the direction in which we write, i.e. “from top-to-bottom, and left-to-right” with a catchy chorus that helps kids to remember these important foundational concepts.
