Here is our first plugin - the Sausage Fattener! People always ask us how we get our greasy sound...here is the answer. Hook up this fat bastard to your favorite DAW (AU & VST on both PC/Mac) and get dirty. The plugin is already used by Tiësto, Kaskade, Diplo, Chuckie, Sebastian Ingrosso, Laidback Luke and others (see below for more).

The Sausage Fattener only has two knobs. But don't be fooled. With those seemingly simple parameters you can create loads of different sounds. Use the Sausage Fattener on a single channel with moderate settings as a musical compressor. Turn it up and you have a dirty bastard of distortion. But you can also use the plugin on a bus (for example all the drums and the bass) or the whole track as a mastering plugin.

The Sausage Fattener is used by Tiësto, Kaskade, Sebastian Ingrosso, Chuckie, Diplo, Laidback Luke, Chuckie, Hardwell, Henrik B, Angger Dimas, Frank E, Zedd, Lazy Rich, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Marcus Schossow, John Dahlbäck and several other DJ/producers.

I use this on the whole drum bus (no matter what genre of music I'm producing). It invariably makes drums sound enormous. I'm not sure about putting it on the master bounce though, it sounds pumpy before you get any good effects from it.

In the VSTPlugins folder in your program files, also this is a plugin for effects, so you can't call it up via the channels, only on the mixer channels.

@George Brecknock it's not FL but rather Ableton. It's another DAW used to make music.

depends on the vibe your going for dude i used to think that 2, but if you limit the sounds in your mix right you can still achieve dynamic depth in your mix.

Depends on the style but if someone takes production seriously they won´t use it on the master channel.. a long time ago i could have used a plugin like this on the master of my tracks too

Question: If you're secretive about your effect chain, but make a plug-in to emulate it, then why keep your effect chain secret in the first place? Now, anyone can apply the same effects to their audio for a mere $30, and do so without learning how the chain works. Mind you, as an audio engineer, I'd probably buy this as a client-pleaser, but I'd much rather learn how the chain works. That way, I could tweak every parameter to my choosing.
