I’ll never forget the look on Ken Schrader face either. His eyes got so big, you could see them through his full faced tinted helmet.

Schrader saw Just death in that car. He will never forget what he saw in that car and has the right not to want to talk about what he saw. He will remember what he saw in that car for the rest of his life.

I'm at a loss for words, concerning watching the story, only to be interrupted by a stinkin' commercial that cuts right into the storyline! That made me mad! Whoever did this:A giant thumbs down to

Funny how Darrel Waltrip seems to be the only one who realized that wreck was bad. Listen to his commentary, soon as he saw the replay he was deeply concerned for Dale. Those sudden head on stops in the wall like that may not look dramatic, but they are extremely dangerous hits. Even other experienced drivers didn't think it was a big deal at first. Apparently DW knew something about wrecks.

I will never forget that day. Nascar was never the same after that losing Dale Sr. I followed Dale Jr. after that, and I watch his show because he talks about life with Dale Sr growing up.

i remember seeing this as a kid and now im an engineer and know that was as bad as it could be nearly.... why he turned sideways almost all the momentum and components of motion transitioned towards the and then came to a stop instantly... essentially the physics is (Impulse = Force average x change in time) when something happens in a very small period of the force is extremely think of catching an egg. if you catch it with a flat hand and not motion it will splat. but if you move your hand with the egg, you can catch it safely.

Darrell IMMEDIATELY knew it was bad. You can see him keep looking to his left in the booth to the turn 4 area, knowing he is hurt.

Dale had a habit of loosening his belts right at the end of a race. It was a mistake that cost him.

We thought it wasn’t that bad of a hit. Darryl Waltrip knew it was bad and told us so. He having been a driver knew the impact force Dale just took. “I hope Dale’s ok” he said more than once.

Kenny Schrader’s helmet wasn’t off when he looked in the car.

This video is sadder than losing Earnhardt.

DW knew it was not a good way to hit the wall. I think he was the only one that immediately knew it wasnt good

Looking at the impact from the pit cam in turn four, you see the full force of that impact . straight head first into the wall.

This is a insult to Dale Earnhardt Sr, you need to make a public apology for your insensitive actions in this documentary, you couldn’t even get the half the stuff right and should be ashamed of yourselves

Dale cutting off the 40 car was the last time he'd wreck or block somebody

There are times when you can tell at first glance someone is obviously very dead and cannot be helped. This sounds like one of those times.

He died on impact. There was no chance of survival.

Darrell Waltrip said right after the race that he was worried about Dale because that's the type of wreck that can hurt you. It didn't look like much to most of us, but to a multi time champ, it looked bad.
