Medical experts have said that vaccination rates for seniors might still not be enough in Singapore amid a spread of the more infectious Delta variant. Currently, more than 80 per cent of people above 70 are fully vaccinated. In August alone, 18 people have died of the virus, a third of the total 55 deaths to date. Most of them are seniors.

The seniors are infected, but never mention get it from where. I have seen these seniors like to talk aloud when they are in coffeeshop. The spread happened.

Now experts are talking about death with a smile, as though death is nothing to them.

Let's all go back to lockdown and live forever like that. Even when/if this pandemic is over, we have to be cautious, next one might be coming very soon, so being in constant lockdown/restrictions will keep us safe 👍

Doktor cucuk : Pak dah cucuk belum ?
Orang Tua : Pasal apa nak cucuk?

Doktor cucuk : Cucuk melindungi Pak dari jangkitan Covid.
Orang Tua : Tapi saya nampak banyak kawan saya yang dah cucuk tu. Banyak yang kena Covid jugak.

Doktor cucuk : Cucuk memang tak dapat melindungi sepenuh. Tapi boleh mengurangkan risiko sakit tenat masuk ICU.
Orang Tua : Tapi macam mana pulak orang yang dah cucuk masih lepas jangkitan masuk ICU. Habis mati ka ICU ?

Doktor cucuk : Itu hanya bilangan segelintir saja.
Orang Tua : Tapi macam mana pulak dengan orang yang dah cucuk tiba tiba rebah tepis jalan, tiba tiba rebah dalam kereta macam macam ada...

Doktor cucuk : Dia tu mungkin kena heart attack sakit jantung ataupun stroke..
Orang Tua : Jadi, minta tanya Doktor, ada kemungkinan tak punca sakit jantung stroke tu berasal dari cucuk ?

Doktor cucuk : Eh...eh...eh...

We should let natural selection decide the departure of seniors rather than through human intervention to extend or shorten their stay on earth.

No, there are three reasons. The 3rd most important reason not ever mentioned is the use of known prophylactics. The sick are isolated and just allowed to fight it out with the virus, the same as SARS

All planned. Just guessing. Any reasons to suit what they want to give. like yo-yo. Very confusing n will lose their integrity.

Actually, Singapore just got a lot of old people. And we honestly are quite a good experiment on a real life basis. Like a well managed contained environment.

It's look like before vaccination...the infection rate per day abt 50 person...severity less...after vaccinating 80%....per day rate rise to 100 to 150...daily rate up...and now we are saying delta variant ...and vaccination only bring down the severity...but its seems like the spread is faster...very confusing...

What vaccines is Sungapore using has a bearing on the outcome. China has overcome the Delta variant. That is validation enough for me.

Looks like in 5 to 10 years from now in this world SG and HK will have the most ageing population of senior above 70 yrs old so all must be prepared for all sorts of challenges ahead

We should encourage the elderly to get vaccination to protect themselves. Whether its the mrna vaccines or other types. The other way is to minimise risk of infection by others. Vaccinated individuals to play a part by ensuring or testing that you are well before interacting with them in particular in unmasked situations. Thats wat i think.
