all the old stuff is finally being appreciated for the very special quality and workmanship. Back then, whatever they made was made to the very best standard according to the knowledge that was had at the time and also the best quality materials available, and things were made with pride.and attention to detail.

Today, we the have "superior" knowledge and "materials", but they are intentionally diluted to give consumers the choice of: low end, mid level, and high end. The is economics trick of industry, to give the consumer the illusion that industry gives a shit about the financial needs of the hard working customers. Making a product available and affordable for the average Joe is just a guise that the manufacturer/s care about their customers who don't know any better. Market Capitalism is predicated on this. They make the customer believe that they are getting the best-bang-for-their-buck as it were! But it is a farce!

The game is different for the wealthy consumers. Sure, the companies will give them product choices too, but not based on the same cost-quality rubric variables. For the high end customers, there is very little variance between low end and high end, because for them, the degree of variance between them is negligible. The level of difference between product cost/quality/benefit is inconsequential, because all of their high end merchandise is high end - a few dollars more versus a few dollars less - no big fuckin deal...the stuff is ALL OFF THE CHARTS!

It's the regular consumers, scraping to get by, who always get the short-end-of -the-stick! Even on those rare occasions when average Joe is able to spend more than he can usually afford, the quality of his higher end purchase is hardly anything worth celebrating. All he has purchased with his hard earned dollars is the same low end crappy electrical parts, housed in a little nicer plastic box (but just a little more glitzzed up, having only a few more bells and whistles that really serve no practical purpose other than to look nice). 

The companies/corporations are playing monopoly with our lives, , the people who actually go out there to work, and break their backs in the process to earn a dignified living. Be vigilant folks, nothing in this world is rarely ever what it seems. The government, pharmaceuticals, corporations, manufacturers new all in bedd together and they don't. give a rat's ass about us - just their 'billions' of dollars of filthy, dirty money.
