I hated the Mortal Instruments. I didn't even get through the third book. That being LOVED the Infernal Devices trilogy. I devoured all three books.

My only warning to you is not to expect much of a plot outside of a love triangle. The plot takes a backseat to the three main characters. I ended up not minding that though because I was so invested and in love with all three characters.

I am really interested to see what you end up thinking about it. :)

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet is SOOOO GOOD. I borrowed it from the library and once I was done I pretty much went out and immediately bought my own copy. It was so lovely.

I love the Infernal Devices! So far it's my favourite of Cassandra Clare's books. The worldbuilding is so good and subtle and there's a bit of a mystery too. I hope you enjoy it! :)

I love Cassandra Clare! The clockwork book series (Infernal Devices series) is so good. It's better than The Mortal Instruments series, but they all relate to each other. Lady Midnight was a great book and I think it will become one of my favorite series, too, but it definitely has references back to the other series and the short stories.

I don't think you have to be cautiously optimistic about ACOMAF ITS SO GOOD 😍 and I thought the first book was pretty good had some problems with it but the second blew me away

Definitely reread saga before volume 5, i didn't and I couldn't remember a thing! I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the long way to a small angry planet, that cover is gorgeous and I've been intrigued by it for a while!

Ah man. The mortal instruments books were so hard to get all the way through. I used to really really like them but books 4 and 5 kind of changed my mind about the series as a whole. It's very "oh I love you" "but we can't be together" "but I love you" within those two books (and a lot in the first two books as well). But books three and six are both really really good. The infernal devices though is really really good. There's one aspect of it that I don't really care all that much for but I won't say what it is because spoilers haha. Hopefully you like it though c:
