As someone whose mained her since the 3DS launch I can conclude a lot of what was said is true. Palutena is a "You first" kind of character who reacts when her opponent does something.

I personally find Palutena to be an incredible counter character since her default moveset already let's her adapt to countering many different playstyles. Reflects for projectile users, counters for up close and personal characters, auto-reticle for spacing, and even her warp can help get her some distance. Even her regular attacks are useful as get off me options especially her up tilt. Someone tries attacking from above just catch them with an UTilt and if you can follow them with UAir. Her air game is defintly where Palutena is allowed to be her move offensive since her aerials come out quick. Her Nair and her UAir have multiple hit boxes along with being disjointed giving her priority over a lot of other aerials and her Nair has much potential to combo.

Above all else she is a character that requires PATIENCE. Getting the kill immediately is something that shouldn't be your focus. You'll get your KO eventually especially if you keep reading your opponent and keep getting them in the air because UAir is a viable kill move at high percents. Hell even Up throw or on rare occasions her U-Tilt can KO so just focus on the match, pressure the opponent with your defense ground game and offensive air game. I feel that's one of the best ways to play Palutena.

I know we had the "Is Mewtwo that bad?" analysis only a little while ago, but I think you should analyse Mewtwo like you have analysed the other characters in the past few weeks.

What I like to do at the start is down throw to fair into jab to regrab into a Nair, or down throw into Nair and then a fair. For the kill, I'll go for down throw to up air.



Also, AeroLink is the #1 Palutena? Gotta practice a lot then!

I'm glad you mentioned that even though she has her faults (esp. with speed & frame works), she has comfort in equalizing any threat as long as the player is good with using their moves wisely and reacting well enough when an opportunity presents itself.

I think customs should be Palutena exclusive. They are entirely different from her normal moves. And should be apart of her meta. Just look at her trailer.
