Love to hear the story of this epic story, and the images and explanation make it even better!

I love how although the Deev was conspiring against the king, he actually was not lying about the beauties of Mazandaran.

Some people believe that this Rostam was Rostam Farrokhzad who fought in the battle of Qadisiya against the Arabs in 636 CE. (But archological findings have find Rostam like figure in Pars province dating back to around 300 CE.) And many historians says that he was from the modern Afghanistan in the Parthian empire (Ashkanian dynasty)

"Her gardens bloom with roses all year long.
Wild hyacinths and myriad tulips throng
her mountain slopes. Her climate sweet and clear,
not hot, not cold but springtime all year"

In india we give respect to Rustam because we remember him as a warrior and great wrestler
We have Rustam's pictures on walls of Wrestling stadiums

Fars/paras/iran used to rule western half of india Speacially Punjab 60% of Economic activity was in this region now its pakistan after 1947 partation

But we have Punjab on both sides

If someone wins the wrestling tournament at National level we Give the person title of Rustam and for international level The title is Rustam-e-Hind now the title is Given by Government of India for wrestlers.

This video was amazing for me. I'm an English speaker, turns out I've been really badly butchering the pronunciation of pretty much every name that isn't Rostam or Zal.
