It is called crumble zone it prevents passengers to absorb shock.what ever tata build quality is good the crumble zone is very strong customer have severe impact.and also luxury and comfort not expected from tata it is rough and tough.

as the airbags were not deployed it might mean impact was not that great which still destroyed exter. cabin is safe but not your pocket

I don't know much about crashes, but one thing I definitely know that the results after crashes between tempo, a car and a truck has different impact and forces. so unless we have a detailed test results we can't judge manufacturer.

This looks like a 30-50km accident, but its sad that there were no airbags deployed but the engine bay has absorbed most of the damage and looking at the interior the people would have survived with at least minor injuries. I guess it would get a 3 star crash rating.
