This formation is very usefull in counter attacks. If you're wing-midfielder can give you a little bit defensive support and join the counter attack. Then you have solid 3 defenders in your box. But you surely awar for full-back area, which is easily use for crossing.

There are many great formations. Personally I just love the simple classic 4-3-3

I’ve coached soccer for 20 years now in high school, club, college, and now USL1. The best quote I’ve heard from someone is “It’s not about X’s and O’s, it’s about Jimmy’s and Joe’s”. Meaning, if you don’t have the talent, the tactics won’t matter.
