We have that same kind of bread very commonly in Arabia. We call it "Samoli" or "Sammon". Very popular with cream cheese especially amongst kids.

Actually its like, depression era american icing. Icing is just butter and sugar really, and this is a SHORTENING icing. So, really, the same as twinkie icing! Its just a really long twinkie!
