Thank you for making this straightforward and putting the example at the end as well as the energy diagram to make it all click! I'd argue in o chem that theres no such thing as an "underwhelming" topic because one way or another as you mentioned, a small topic such as mono di tri substituted can make or break someones quiz or exam who wasnt quite paying attention in class that day it was presented!
