This a shortened section from my main video where I rewrite the ending for Elden Ring:

How Elden Ring's ending should have went down:

Same with bloodborne. You either let fuckface kill you, or you kill fuckface and the moon presence shows up like “yo, wanna keep huntin’”

Let me tell you a secret.
No ending in Fromsoftware's games resolves any issues

There's the fabled one finger ending where you just ragequit and delete the game, leaving the world in an eternally broken status quo.

I mean the lord of the frenzied flame ending TECHNICALLY solves every issue

Interesting thing tho, the default ending actually doesn't solve anything when you look into the lore; the golden order is still fractured beyond repair. You may have mended the elden ring, but you've done nothing more than doom the lands between to this endless cycle of fracture and half-hearted mending. It's no different than the age of fire when you think about it; theres a right way to truly mend things and bring back the golden age, but most Tarnished will be... well, blind to it.
...in the end, it's no different than the age of fire. A cycle may be comforting, but it does nothing to fix the problem or mend the pain. We must be willing open our eyes and gaze upon our imperfections if we wish to be made whole.

The age of fracture would technically reset the world properly tho, we see that upon bosses death and ours we turn to dust and are reborn from the erdtree, what we caused was the beginning of the return of the elden ring and mended this time again

Best ending in elden ring is goldmasks quest. He pulls up t poses a bunch. Poops out a rune that fixes the golden order. Refuses to elaborate and dies

Something to point out: technically, you do change something at the end of the game. Just before you get to the Erdtree, you unbind the Rune of Death, the binding of which created the Golden Order. So unless Elden Lord You gets a werewolf of comparable power to Maliketh from the Two Fingers, death will probably resume being what it was before Marika came along. As Melina put it, the world has stagnated and is in need of Death, indiscriminate.

Actually a pretty sound ending, tho maybe you’d be like bloodborne where you do something that “taints” you (dung eater, frenzy flame) and that’s how you get to fight the elden beast

The ending that solves the most problems is the death ending because it just makes death return to the lands between which is the main goal I think

The only true way to fix the world is by going with the Ever Brilliant Chadmask, and use the Mending Rune of Perfect Order to do the Golden Order right. Or try the Age of Stars and see how things go with something completely different.

Idk why no one talks about sekiro ;-; my guy literally had to stab the boy he was supposed to save. Basically, the main characters whole life is worth because of that boy.

I personally take the age of fracture ending as a prolonging of a broken age. Nothing has really changed the player is just the one on the throne. In that sense it is a very traditional fromsoft ending pretty much the same as base ds1 and ds3 endings

Well, there is some salt too Duskborne ending. Those who Live In Death, don’t want to die, and so deathroot touches those corpses where there is deathroot, and reanimates the corpse.

Goldmask’s ending is probably the best ending possible, “Gods are just as flawed as humanity”, at least humanity now gets a say when we’re seated as Elden Lord

Golden Mask Ending is literally the best ending.

Well Marika is in that position because her womb was still intended to be a source of power for the upcoming age. Since the player is not an Empyrean, it wouldn’t fit. Thank you, Tarnished Archeologist, for the amazing lore video. Its his work I am referencing
