The whole lake has become the Soup Group Shopping District, so the portal should totally be a soup restaurant at the end of a pier.

Suggestion for the blank permits: Since you, Pearl and Gem are surrounding this lake, how about you three build a "black market" on the bottom of the lake? Inside this place you can have flea market stalls where anyone can sell anything (a bit like in Hunger Games) and at the entrance you hang these permits named "Permit for everything" and "Permit for everyone".
It's a bit poetic since it's at the backside of the Permit Office, and your portal will be the "legit" reason for why people visit the lake.
The server has become way too calm and peaceful. Time for someone to start stirring the pot, and you know that you three will be the perfect trio to start some trouble.

One thing I noticed when watching Skizz, Xb and Keralis play is that it would take a second listen to realize that they're supposed to only catch the short grass. Apparently the Hermit's listening comprehension is about as good as reading lol.

Rename the permit to "I do what I want" and present it whenever someone asks if you can do something that you are doing. Either that or name it "Shenanigans" and cause mischief.

Idea for the blank permit:
Start a counterfeit permits black market in the cyberpunk city using the blank permit as the counterfoil. The truth is that you're photocopying it with an old printer so all the copies are a little wanky.
You could have a custom model as well of poor imitations of the permits.

Etho’s question about tips made me wonder if you should put a “tips accepted” chest. Might be funny to see what hermits consider a “tip!”

In the Touch Grass instructions, on headphones I'm hearing a little audio glitch right before "short grass" that makes it a little hard to catch the word "short". And I've seen other hermits misunderstand that rule in their videos. Seems like around half the hermits think all the blocks are in play.

this is actually one in a million: when I play minecraft I usually watch some minecraft video in the background. In thi minute 13:15 Imp and Pearl both ate at the same exact moment, and I also did with my friend at the exact same moment!

Here's an idea for the blank permit, a permit for permits. Usurp the Permit Office!

Another thought for the nether portal could be a giant beanstalk. It would give some green nature vibes, and fitting for the area and to add height for the portal. With some strategic placement of leaves it could help hide the Permit Office and be a bit of fun parkour.

You could build a giant tree in that new Terra formed area and it would be with the theme of the shops. And inside the tree up in the branches, is the nether portal for shopping district East.

Pearl with no practice wins the prize! That's going to be the standard for the rest of the Hermits. Maybe the game can become a speed running type of Hermit contest considering it's possible to get two grass with one cast.

Skizz broke his fishing rod every time he played. Maybe add unbreaking to the rods or a button to get a second one. It feels bad to still have time in the game, but not be able to get more grass. Fun game though! The "thinking" sounds were priceless!
