👉 Why care about science diplomacy?

It brings scientists, diplomats, and policymakers together to work towards solving some of the most pressing issues we face today, such as COVID-19 and global warming. Science diplomacy also helps us achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

👉 What does the Science Diplomacy course offer?

Guided by practicing science diplomats and experts, the course first looks at different approaches and different practices in science diplomacy. From there, we dive deeper into specific issues such as health, renewable energy, land use, and climate action.

We explore how science and policy can be brought together to provide practical guidance to effectively solve some of the existing problems. We also look at the future of science policy interactions and some of the challenges brought about by emerging technologies.

Throughout the course, we keep a focus on the particular perspective of the Global South and some of the challenges and opportunities that arise in that context.
