Roblox's 'The Haunt' Failed Horribly. Here's Why.

Roblox's fourth event, Halloween-themed, turns out to be another broken mess. What a shocker.

What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18-year-olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game, or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.

Honestly the community itself is what keeps the platform alive, not the corporate Roblox metaverse crap. Why can't Roblox just hire actual developers and writers from the community to make an event. LIKE THE ONLY REASON THE LOBBY LOOKED SO GOOD IS BECAUSE NORMAL SANE ROBLOX DEVS MADE IT.

In my opinion, this was pretty bad.

Pros:

*No grinding
*Some of the UGCS
*Lobby was well done

Cons:
*The costume contest concept
*Bossfight
*Game variety was mid but at least they added MM2
*Lobby was laggy

I hated this even bc i usually make my own clothes but i only make it for r6 bc i domt have studio.... anyway i hated it bc you literally have to PAY for new ugc items to make a costume and i didnt want to do that but i also still wanted to be apart of the contest. Its basiclyy p2w 💀

( oh, and btw.. I'm NOT a obsessed pressure fan whos always like "oOh PrEsSuRe iS BeTtEr ThAn dOorz1!1", I still like doors more but pressure showed more care and actually put more effort into this event, whereas doors only added candies. )

When i first found out that events were coming back i was so hyped i thought that we would get an egg hunt that mat even rival egg hunt 2018 the great yolk tales but the hunt classic games and haunt was so incredibly disappointed i quit doing the events even though i completed classic I'll come back to events if they become good or heck make an egg hunt even if it's bad I'll still play it since maybe they'll improve it but that's just cope at this point.

Roblox is being hit by investors all around the world so they ARE losing money, a bad community was fine to them if they were getting money but now even investors have turned against them, looks like now some changes are finally gonna happen
