Dear friends of the Brienz Rothorn Bahn Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the Brienz Rothorn Bahn was severely damaged by a massive storm. The rain and thunderstorm cell that fell over Brienz on Monday evening, August 12, 2024, caused devastating damage to our historic railway line. The damage is so significant that we had to suspend operations for the rest of the season for safety reasons - a situation that has never occurred in the more than 130-year history of our railway. Despite the major challenges that lie ahead, we are determined to repair the damage as quickly as possible and get the Brienz Rothorn Bahn back on track. However, this process will require time and significant financial resources. That's why we're asking for your support today. Every donation or purchase of a voucher helps to secure the future of the BRB. The aim is to resume operations from May 2025 to Planalp and from June 2025 to Rothorn Kulm.
