I remember your hair glowing gold in the sunlight
I remember how gracefully you moved
And I thanked the heavens I caught your sight
For after a time, you turned to me, smiling

I knew then I wanted to spend all day with you
And before I knew it, days became weeks
Weeks became months and months years
And every minute of my life became brighter

Your smile could light up the darkest night
Your laughter, the most amazing sound in the world
And you burned with passions so bright
I selfishly never wanted to leave your side

I should've known that was impossible
But even now I hold on to that dream
Even as I lay here, my body failing me
I still hold on to the hope you gave me

I close my eyes, hoping to see that day once again
But they shoot open as a new thought fills my mind
You're still out there, you're still fighting
Even as bleak as things are, you refuse to give in

And so must I, I cannot allow myself to fall
I will not, not while you stand alone
Every movement I make sends pain throughout my body
But slowly, I force myself back to my feet

I can hear you, somewhere out there
Fighting on, fighting alone, fighting for us all
And even if it takes what little strength I have left
I will be by your side, I will do whatever it takes
To see your smile one last time



I don't know what it is, but something about Ivan's music gives me a "get up" feeling. Even this one, weird huh?
