Hi brother, i made a 4s lithium ion battery with a 30 amp bms. After completing the wiring the bms out put voltage is below 12 v. At the battery end its 15 to 16 v. I did nt connected to charger yet, only connected a battery level indicator, .. When i first conneected the charge indicator it showed the charge which is full, after some time its not shwing anything. Then i checked the out put voltage found below 12 v.
Is the bms damaged?

I have installed a 4s 40 A BMS on my drill battery and everything seemed fine but when I started testing the drill with the new battery the mosfets started to smoke and burned out. Can somebody help me ? Is it just my model or are these BMS not really 40 A ? I think mine would have worked with 5-10 A but not 40. ( I am glad that it was the bms that failed and not the battery’s)
